Important update – Thanet water supply
Manston Parish Council
Good afternoon
I wanted to update you to advise that all customers in Thanet remain in supply, as normal, and our water sites are producing water.
Demand for water across our region increased by 15% over the bank holiday weekend and our reservoir levels remain lower than normal, so we still have precautionary measures in place to help mitigate potential issues.
More than 20 tankers are in the area to help top-up water levels and bottled water deliveries are continuing for customers on our Priority Services Register (PSR). We expect to finish deliveries later today.
As advised yesterday, our two bottled water stations have not reopened today (Wednesday 27 May). Our stations were quiet with all customers in supply, however, please be assured that both sites can be reopened at short notice, if needed.
Customers should continue to check our website for the latest updates and to see whether we have opened any bottled water stations. We have also been sending SMS messages to customers in Thanet.
If you have any questions, please do contact me.
Kind regards.
