Free Community Support: Birchington Library, 7 August
Manston Parish Council
Kent Association for the Blind’s mobile sight centre, Iris, offers free support and advice to people who are living with low vision and those who have concerns about their eyesight. Our on-board team can signpost people to further support in their local area, make referrals to KAB’s additional services such as social groups, befriending and counselling and demonstrate a range of assistive technology and day to day living equipment. We can also offer general advice on good eye health to help reduce preventable sight loss.
I attach a poster with further details of our upcoming visit to Birchington Library, 17 Alpha Road, Birchington, CT7 9EG on Friday 7th August from 10am – 3pm. Please feel free to promote the visit to your networks if appropriate. If you are interested in hosting a future visit at your venue for those you support then do get in touch.
Further information about KAB and the mobile sight centre can be found at www.kab.org.uk.
With best wishes
