Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closure & 20MPH Speed Limit - Preston Road & Spratling Street, Ramsgate - 22nd December 2025 (Thanet District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of Preston Road & Spratling Street, Ramsgate. A mandatory 20MPH speed limit will be imposed on part of Preston Road, Ramsgate, from 22nd December 2025 with estimated completion by 23rd December 2025.
Preston Road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Preston Road will have a mandatory 20MPH speed limit imposed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Preston Road, Manston Court Road, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Spratling Street will be closed at the junction of Preston Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spratling Street, Spratling Lane, A256 Haine Road, B2050 Manston Road, Preston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing highway improvement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
