Further to the update sent earlier this afternoon, our sites are running, and our network remains stable. There continues to be no customer impact and taps are flowing as normal. We’re gradually building stocks back up to normal levels and provide resilience in meeting demand.

We’re proceeding with caution. We’ve undertaken comprehensive scenario planning to understand how supplies would be affected if there were any further outages at any of our sites in Kent, and that has informed the strategic placement of resources to mobilise both bottled water deliveries and bottled water stations in the event that we need them. We are also continuing to support South East Water as it faces challenges across Kent.

Customer communication

We’ve sent text messages to our PSR customers in the potentially affected areas to advise that we have paused bottled water deliveries. Customers are also being kept updated with a dedicated Kent water supply webpage, which provides details of some of the other challenges we’re facing across the county.

If you are concerned about a vulnerable customer who needs access to bottled water as a priority, they can call us on 0330 303 0368.

If you have any questions, please let me know. We will send further updates tomorrow.

Kind regards.
