Rule 6 Letter – Appointment of the Examining Authority, invitation to the preliminary meeting and notification of hearings

Dear Sir/Madam

Please find below a link to a letter from the Examining Authority (ExA) that has been published on the National Infrastructure Planning website.

The letter is an invitation to the preliminary meeting for the above application (the ‘Rule 6’ letter) which will be held on Wednesday 5 November 2025, 10:00am, virtually via Microsoft Teams. The letter includes an agenda for the meeting, the initial assessment of principal issues, the draft examination timetable, other procedural decisions made by the Examining Authority, and other important matters.

The letter also includes notification of an open floor hearing on Wednesday 5 November 2025, 2:00pm, in person at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Snape, Suffolk IP17 1SP, and virtually via Microsoft Teams, which if required, will continue at;

  • 5:30pm on Wednesday 5 November 2025
  • 10:00am on Thursday 6 November 2025
  • 2:00pm on Thursday 6 November 2025
  • 5:30pm on Thursday 6 November 2025
  • 10:00am on Friday 7 November 2025

The letter also includes notification of an issue specific hearing on the scope of the development on Tuesday 11 November 2025, 10:00am, virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Finally, the letter also includes notification of an open floor hearing on Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 2:00pm, in person at Discovery Park Visitors Centre, Innovation House, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9FF, and virtually via Microsoft Teams, which if required, will continue at;

  • 5:30pm on Tuesday 11 November 2025

  • 10:00am on Wednesday 12 November 2025

  • 2:00pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025

  • 5:30pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025

  • 10:00am on Thursday 13 November 2025
